Benidorm Island lies directly in line with Punta Canfali, naturally dividing the city’s two main beaches — Levante and Poniente. Covering an area of 6.57 hectares, the island measures approximately 350 metres long, 260 metres wide, and rises 73 metres above sea level.

Located just 2.5 nautical miles from the coast, the boat journey to the island takes around 15 minutes, making it an easy and popular excursion for visitors.

The waters surrounding Benidorm Island are famous for their rich marine life and impressive seabed, making the area especially popular with snorkellers and divers. Throughout the year, boats with underwater viewing windows offer a unique way to explore these crystal-clear waters.

One of the highlights is Bajo de la Llosa, a submerged rock formation located around 300 metres south of the island, reaching depths of up to 30 metres and home to an exceptional variety of marine species.

The island’s waters host everything from powerful predators such as amberjack, barracuda, and dentex, to more sedentary species including moray eels and octopus.
